At Rooted With Care, we understand that timely and careful shipping is essential for live plants. We take great care to ensure your plants arrive healthy and ready to thrive.

Shipping Methods & Timing

Standard Shipping: 5-7 business days
Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-2 business days of receipt. During peak seasons (spring and summer), processing times may extend to 3-5 business days.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location, order weight, and selected shipping method. We strive to keep shipping costs as affordable as possible while ensuring your plants arrive safely.

Free Shipping: Available on orders over $150 within our shipping zones (standard shipping only).

Shipping Zones

We currently ship to most U.S. states. Due to agricultural regulations and shipping restrictions, we are unable to ship to the following states:

  • Alaska
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Hawaii
  • Oregon
  • Washington

We ship to all other continental U.S. states with all shipping methods available.

International: We do not currently ship outside the United States due to agricultural regulations.

Packaging & Plant Care During Transit

Your plants are our priority. We use various packaging designed to protect plants during shipping. Some shifting and loose dirt is to be expected; but this should not impact plant health.

Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. You can monitor your shipment's progress and estimated delivery date through the carrier's website.

Delivery & Receiving Your Order

Important: Please unpack and inspect your plants as soon as they arrive. Live plants are perishable and time-sensitive.

Upon delivery:

  1. Open your package immediately
  2. Inspect all plants for damage or issues
  3. Water plants if soil feels dry
  4. Place in appropriate light conditions
  5. Contact us within 24 hours if there are any concerns

Shipping Restrictions

Due to agricultural regulations, we cannot ship certain plant species to specific states. Restricted items will be noted on product pages. If you have questions about shipping restrictions for your state, please contact us before placing your order.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

While rare, shipping damage can occur. If your plants arrive damaged or your shipment is lost:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the damage
  • Keep all original packaging materials
  • We'll work with you to resolve the issue through replacement or refund

We work closely with our shipping carriers to ensure safe delivery, and we'll do everything we can to make things right if issues arise.

Seasonal Shipping Notes

Spring & Fall (Peak Seasons): High order volume may extend processing times. We recommend ordering early and selecting expedited shipping if you have time-sensitive planting schedules.

Summer: Heat-sensitive plants may require expedited shipping. We may contact you to discuss shipping options if temperatures are extreme.

Winter: We may delay shipments during severe cold snaps.
